EUROPSY at the 58th Annual meeting of ASPPB Oct 18-21 2018 in Salt Lake City (USA) – The Global Practice of psychology: Impact on Regulation and Credentialing

 

Dr. Rosaleen McElvaney,  Chair of the EuroPsy European Awarding Committee joined delegates of the Association of State and Provincial Psychology Boards (ASPPB) from the US and Canada  at their biannual meeting in Salt Lake City in October 2018.

The Association of State and Provincial Psychology Boards (ASPPB) is the alliance of state, provincial, and territorial agencies responsible for the licensure and certification of psychologists throughout the United States and Canada.

Rosaleen gave presentations on the history of the competency movement in Europe and on mobility agreements in Europe. She provided an overview of the EuroPsy certificate, how it is implemented across 24 countries in Europe and the impact EuroPsy has had on education curricula, legislation and the development of the profession of psychology in Europe.
